Organize and Refresh Your Closet: It’s time to get it together
January is always a great time to get organized. A new year, a fresh start. And why not start with the focus on your closet to organize and refresh this space?
When I started my business, although I did design work, it was heavily focused on organizing. Peter Walsh was a huge organizing guru that many of us loved to watch on Oprah. He had a great way of stating what needed to be said, in a very respectful way. While I’m known to tell it like it is, I’m also very passionate about helping others feel in control.
So, we’re going to start January with your closet. A space that you visit every day to start your day. It’s time to get it together.
Closet Organize & Refresh
Clothes
Nothing feels better than waking up in the morning, heading to the closet, and easily seeing what your options are.

Many, many years ago, I hear of a tip for a clothes closet that:
- I will never forget
- That I always use!
You’ll learn what that tip is along with many other tips for a clothes closet.
Linen
A linen closet can often become a disorganized space – and quickly

Folding sheets and towels….oh my! Why don’t they seem to stay neatly folded? Why are there other items, other than linens taking up space?
In this module, you will learn my tips and tricks for any linen closet. Oh – don’t have a linen closet and wish you did? I’ll let you in on my little secret on how to create one!
Clothes
Whether you have a front closet, a back closet, or a side closet, why do these closets tend to become dumping grounds? Maybe you don’t have a dedicated closet but still find your area not working.

Closet Design
In this module you will not learn how to design a closet, I will provide you with the most important measurements you will need IF you are looking to re-design your closet.
And More…
I am also going to discuss the psychology of clothes and of course, how to plan out your closet refresh project.
You will receive my 6 step process to refresh your closet. This 6-Step process works with any type of closet!
I look forward to sharing this module with you as well as the other spaces we will tackle each week.
- Home Office
- Bedroom
- Family Room/Bonus Room
- Kitchen

Sheri,
Happy New Year! Great concept for a series of blog posts. Well done. This will definitely help clients understand how to simplify, declutter and maybe buy less- all contributing to more eco friendly practices for designing and decorating homes!
It’s funny. I think an organized closet definitely curbs spending. Why? Because we know what we have, what we wear, and what we REALLY need.
Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year!
This is a brilliant and timely series, Sheri! New Year, Fresh Start! Looking forward to following along!
Thank you, Janet.
What a great idea! I look forward to learning more. Sadly, my closet could definitely use some help!
A clothes closet happens to me a favourite area to organize. I think it’s because we use it every day so the hard work and thought that went into this space is seen every day.
I have to admit, organizing my closet is a needed exercise. Look forward to learning more!
Thank you, Lisa.
I love how you are organizing these modules into online courses, Sheri. I am sure everyone who purchases them will learn great tips from you!
Thank you so much, Leslie.
Brilliant Sheri. Separating this closet organizations makes so much sense as each area has of course differing ogjectives as to how they are to function to the max. Moving into our last best nest which was 13 years old, one of the very first items to be tackled was to either add or enlarge or to move existing storage areas and closets. Still a work in progress, we have made great progress as I am sure your followers will progress also with your series.
Thank you, Mitzi.
SHeri,
I wish you could hop right over and organize my closet. I think it would curb my spending (maybe). I really need an intervention. Great post!
